The Mendocino Coast District Hospital is sponsoring the next class of Putting Your Affairs in Order. The seminar begins on Monday, 6/5 at the Hospital’s Redwood Room from 6 - 8 pm. This is the first time I will do a Summer Seminar and I hope to be able to fill the seminar around vacations, etc. This is your chance to gatherer the necessary information, record it and move the process along so that you can experience peace of mind, clarity and most importantly, a feeling of accomplishment and completion.

If you could tell your loved ones that your estate was in fine shape; the legal documents were up-to-date and complete, the people involved (trustee or executor) know what they need to know and are empowered, and that you have noted where you wanted the “stuff” (ex.: Mom’s special ring, a favorite army knife of dad’s or a favorite painting) to go, would that make your day?

This seminar will be held on the following Monday’s from 6 to 8pm: June 5th and 19th, July 10th and 17th. A local attorney will speak about estate planning and answer your questions. You will have opportunities in class to work in the book: A Graceful Farewell: Putting Your Affairs in Order. We will also complete an advanced directive for health care.

The book can be purchased at all the local books stores, Zo’s Copy, and Racines.

A participant in a past class lost their beloved partner. It was unexpected. Because she took my class, she had all the information she needed right at her fingertips. She was able to make the necessary calls and arrangements and find paperwork needed to carry out specific actions related to her situation.
