The Professional Fiduciary Association of California created this helpful video explaining the services and benefits of licensed fiduciaries.

Services

A fiduciary is more than a professional providing financial management and estate planning services. A fiduciary can act as an unbiased, informed, and responsible third party to ensure the fair handling of a family's resources so older or vulnerable members will be provided for throughout their lives.

The Book

Losing a loved one is difficult enough without grappling with scattered,  disorganized, or lost information. A Graceful Farewell is an indispensable tool for collecting critical data, such as bank account numbers, passwords, and insurance information, in one easy document.

Writing & Conversations

The world of fiduciary services is varied and complex, and often people have a lot of questions when they learn what I do. Find out about how fiduciary services help people with special needs and the aging maintain their independence without burdening their family members.

I'm Maggie Watson of Mendocino Fiduciary.

I'm a licensed California Professional Fiduciary. I've served as a trustee and as an executor of many estates. I also act as power of attorney for finance and healthcare. I love the work I do and the people I serve.

Previously I worked as a professional organizer starting in 1985, helping clients get organized in the Bay area, France and Mendocino County. Though my clientele ranged from children to our elders, most of them were people over 65 who wanted help maintaining their independence in their homes. This work provided the ideal stepping stone into entering the field of fiduciary services as a way to help people stay independent and keep families harmonious.
